St. Marys, 25 miles away, has a charming small-town flavor with its white picket fences and charming Victorian inns, quaint shops and cozy cafes. The ferry to Cumberland Island departs from St. Marys.
Cumberland Island, reachable only by boat, is Georgia’s largest and southern-most barrier island. This beautiful and unspoiled island is an exciting day trip. A short drive to Jacksonville provides national and international entertainment, cultural events, traveling exhibits and professional sports.
